Phase 2- week 1 (21/102026-23/10/2026)
Phase 2
Week - 1
Introduction
This week marked the beginning of the second phase of my teaching practice at G.H.S. Plavoor. Returning to the same school was a pleasant experience, and I was happy to continue my teaching practice with the students. I was especially delighted to get Class VIII C again, with the assistance of Ashwathi Ma'am. The first week of the second phase was a positive and memorable experience that helped me continue developing my teaching skills.
Classroom Experience
My classroom experience this week was very good. I started teaching the eighth chapter, "National Movement and Kerala," to Class VIII C. The topic was related to history, and the students showed great interest in learning about the national movement and its connection with Kerala. They actively participated in classroom activities and responded enthusiastically to my questions. The teacher-student interaction was very good, creating a positive and engaging learning environment. I was happy to see the students' participation, and this experience helped me gain more confidence in teaching history lessons.
Mid-Day Meal Service
Throughout the week, we actively participated in the Mid-Day Meal Service. We worked cooperatively with the teachers to serve food to the students and ensure the smooth functioning of the programme. This activity helped us develop teamwork, responsibility, and a sense of care towards the students.
Reflection
The first week of the second phase of teaching practice was a wonderful learning experience. I was happy to return to G.H.S. Plavoor and teach Class VIII C again. Teaching the chapter on the National Movement and Kerala helped me improve my classroom interaction and teaching skills. The active participation of the students made the lessons more interesting and enjoyable. Working with Ashwathi Ma'am and participating in the Mid-Day Meal Service also strengthened my cooperation and teamwork. Overall, this week was a positive beginning to the second phase of my teaching practice, and I look forward to gaining more experience in the coming weeks.
