Introduction

This week was a wonderful and memorable experience in my teaching practice. During the first two days, the school conducted the Onam examinations, and the students attended the examinations with sincerity and discipline. Even during the examination days, the school provided the Mid-Day Meal service to the students, and we actively participated in serving the meals. The week concluded with a colourful and joyful Onam celebration, which provided us with many opportunities to participate in school activities and interact with students.

Onam Celebration

On Friday, the school organised a grand Onam celebration. It was a colourful and joyful programme in which students actively participated in various cultural activities. Students presented different dances, songs, Onam songs, and other cultural programmes. Their enthusiasm and confidence made the celebration very enjoyable. The programme created a festive atmosphere throughout the school and provided students with an opportunity to showcase their talents



Athapookkalam Competition

As part of the Onam celebration, the school conducted an Athapookkalam competition. Students participated enthusiastically and showed great creativity in designing beautiful floral arrangements. We actively supported the students in preparing and designing their Athapookkalam. A large and attractive Athapookkalam was also prepared collectively by the school, which added beauty to the celebration. Participating in this activity gave us a wonderful opportunity to work together with students and teachers.


Mid-Day Meal Service

We actively participated in serving the Mid-Day Meals during the week, including the examination days and the Onam celebration. We worked together with the teachers to serve food to the students in an organised manner. This experience strengthened our sense of responsibility, teamwork, and cooperation. Working alongside the teachers and students made the experience especially meaningful.




Reflection

This week was a truly wonderful experience in my teaching practice. The Onam examinations helped me understand the organised functioning of the school during assessment periods, while the Onam celebration gave me an opportunity to participate in the cultural life of the school. Supporting students in the Athapookkalam competition and participating in the Mid-Day Meal Service helped me develop teamwork, responsibility, and a stronger connection with the school community. Overall, the week was filled with learning, cooperation, and joyful experiences that I will remember throughout my teaching practice.

  Week - 5(3/8/2026 - 7/8/2026) Introduction This week was a meaningful and productive week in my teaching practice. I completed the fourth chapter, "Basic Economic Problems," in Class VIII C. I also conducted an achievement test for the students, which was a new and valuable experience for me. Along with classroom teaching, I actively participated in various school activities, including the L.P. and U.P. assembly, Hiroshima Day programmes, Mid-Day Meal Service, and the cleaning and arrangement of the Social Science Lab.
