Introduction

This week was a valuable and memorable phase of my teaching practice. Since examinations were being conducted in the school, there were no special programmes or co-curricular activities during the week. The school functioned according to its regular schedule. Even though the week was relatively calm, it provided me with an excellent opportunity to understand the school environment, interact with students, and gain practical experience in teaching. The experiences of this week helped me develop confidence and a better understanding of my role as a student teacher.

Classroom Experience

My classroom experiences during this week were very positive and enriching. I conducted classes according to my lesson plans and interacted actively with the students. Through these classes, I learned the importance of classroom management and time management. I also gained ideas about how to engage students through activities, discussions, and questioning techniques. The experience helped me understand how a teacher can create an effective learning environment and maintain students' interest throughout the lesson.

LP and UP Assembly

During this week, the school conducted its regular LP and UP section assemblies. We actively participated in these assemblies and observed the various activities included in them. The highlight of the assembly was the book review presented by the students, which encouraged reading habits and improved their communication skills. The assemblies provided a platform for students to develop confidence and participate in school activities.

Mid-Day Meal Service

We actively participated in the Mid-Day Meal Service programme throughout the week. Along with the teachers, we helped in serving food to the students and ensuring the smooth conduct of the programme. This experience taught us the importance of care, responsibility, and teamwork in a school setting. It also provided an opportunity to interact closely with students outside the classroom.

Reflection

This week helped me gain a deeper understanding of teaching practice and school functioning. I learned about classroom management, time management, and effective teaching strategies. I became more confident in handling classes and interacting with students. The experience also helped me understand the daily responsibilities of a teacher and the importance of creating a positive learning atmosphere. Overall, this week was a meaningful learning experience that contributed significantly to my professional growth as a future teacher.
